Why 2019 is the most profitable year to go solar

2019 is the last year for the full 30% of the Federal Investment Tax Credit.

2019 is the last year for the full 30% of the Federal Investment Tax Credit. After 2019 the ITC drops to 26% in 2020, 22% in 2021, and 10% in 2022 with commercial exclusivity. The Federal ITC allows customers to pay off their annual IRS bills using up to 30% of their solar installation costs. For example if your PV system costs $20,000, you can reduce your tax liability by $6,000. This tax credit reduces the upfront costs of your PV installation, allowing you to speed up the payback period of your investment. The Federal ITC is applicable for residential and commercial solar projects.[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

Invest Today, Save Later

With the rising rates in energy costs every year solar can off-set and drastically reduce your energy bill. By investing in a solar PV System now you can fix your electricity rate and protect against increasing electricity costs. As a side note the average American home owner pays off their entire system in 5-8 years, once paid off the system pays for itself 3 times over.[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

US Economy is experiencing steady growth

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 3.2 percent in the first quarter of 2019, unemployment is at an all time low, and consumer spending is at an all time high. These important variables, and others indicate a steady growth for the economy in 2019.[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

Environmentally Friendly

With the ever increasing rates of carbon emissions and America’s dependence on fossils fuels, going solar can provide a significant reduction in your carbon footprint. A typical residential solar PV System will eliminate 3 to four tons of carbon emissions each year, which is equivalent to planting over 100 trees a year.[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

2019 is the last year of the 30% MARCs

Under the federal Modified Accelerated Cost-Recovery System (MACRS), businesses and commercial clients may recover investments in certain property through depreciation deductions. A variety of solar-electric and solar-thermal technologies are classified as five-year properties under the MACRS. 2019 is the last year for 30% MARCs.[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
