Description

OE Solar is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor operating out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. We offer a comprehensive spectrum of services for sustainable green construction projects including solar, battery energy storage systems and electric vehicle chargers.
The General Laborer touches all aspects of the projects we install, from roof mounted solar systems to solar farms. You will be required to help others construct racking systems for solar modules, working on such things as digging, trenching, concrete forms, job site clean-up, constructing racking and installing solar modules. You must be looking to join the carpentry apprenticeship program. This is a great position for anyone interested in learning more about renewable energy and acquiring the necessary skills needed to start a new career in the solar industry.

Responsibilities

Installation of Carport Steel Structures

Installation of concrete foundations

Operate heavy equipment
-
Installation of EV Charging Stations
-
Assist with construction according to plans, specifications, manufacturer’s requirements, and NEC code
-
Reliability and professionalism will be required on a daily basis
-
Participate in training and meetings
-
Work with a high level of quality and integrity.

Layout and assembly of solar modules, array and mounting hardware

Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
-
Follow safe work practices
-
Clean-up of job site
-
Continuously develop skills.

Safely and legally operate personal vehicle and OE Solar vehicles

Get jobs done in allotted time to meet schedule and wear all PPE

Qualifications
​

Comfortable using power tools and being on roofs
-
Must have your own tools
-
Ability to work within a team
-
Must have concrete, roofing, framing and general construction experience

Must have reliable transportation
-
Must have a valid NM driver’s license
-
Must be able to pass background check
-
Must be looking to get into the carpantry apprentice program
-
Willing to travel within the state of NM based on the needs of the business
