Equity Statement: An Open Letter to Our Employees

To Our OE Solar Family,

 

In light of the current situation in the world today and in particular the recent events in the United States that have highlighted institutionalized inequities in the treatment of persons of color, the words of our founding fathers hold more importance today than ever before; "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness".

 

OE Solar has a proud legacy of racial diversity and promoting equality at every level of our team. Our hearts break when we see our communities in pain throughout the United States and, especially, in our company’s hometown. OE Solar has never and will never tolerate any racially motivated inequities in the treatment of our employees, customers, partners, or community in general.

 

OE Solar remains committed to the tennant so well voiced by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” and as such, we will continue to advocate for the rights, liberties, and freedoms of all.

 

We have a responsibility to each other and to our industry to step up and lead by example, to loudly represent our generation of diverse and inclusive solar professionals, and to address the topics that affect our people most. We stand as one with our employees, business partners and communities in rejecting racism and discrimination. We strive for an inclusive world where all voices are heard.
