With the financial barriers coming down on solar, now is an opportunity for income-qualified individuals and families to take part!
EPA's Solar For All Program gave the state of New Mexico $156M in solar grants last year, and is prepared for more! No longer will solar be an inaccessible luxury.

Who Qualifies:
Those at or below 80% of their area median income
Participants in income-qualified federal programs (SNAP, LIHEAP, etc.)
Benefits Include:
Lowered utilities for entire complex
Federal and state tax rebate opportunities
State rebates for energy efficient upgrades
New Mexico applications through Solar For All are set to go live late this year through EMNRD.com (Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department). The first installations are set to begin in 2026, when funding disbursements arrangements are set.
Those living in apartments will not need to install panels on their buildings! Through community solar, energy generated from an off-site solar farm will power qualifying multifamily units.
Bottom Line:
Your monthly expenses can be cut to a fraction when your complex updates to solar! In income-qualified housing, every dollar counts. You and your neighbors' families can save while reducing your environmental impact, all without ever seeing an installation bill!
