One Big Beautiful Bill Strips Away Solar Tax Credits
If you’ve been thinking about EV charging or battery storage, now’s the time to act.
The federal government is phasing out some of the most valuable clean energy tax credits. Waiting could mean losing thousands in savings or missing the window entirely!
Here’s what you need to know:

Battery Storage Has a Tight Deadline:
If you’re considering battery storage, you’ll need to begin construction by July 4, 2026, or place your project in service by the end of 2027 to qualify for 45Y or 48E tax credits.
EV Tax Credits Disappear This Fall:
Federal credits for EV infrastructure will expire after September 30, 2025. This affects both residential and commercial EVs and their chargers. With rising demand and long lead times, acting now ensures that you secure the incentive and get your system installed in time.
Foreign Entities of Concern (FEOC) Requirements:
The federal government has moved to deny technology-neutral tax credits to any system with "too much" foreign equipment. This has incentivized consumers and solar companies alike to use majority, if not all, American materials. However, this will not affect projects started by the end of 2025. FEOC regulations will take effect in 2026.
What This Means For You:
Demand is rising fast!
Installing a system prior to deadlines will lock in your savings
New systems will shrink as incentives disappear
Longer lead times and fewer credits may increase project cost
U.S.-made equipment will be prioritized, but new rules may shift the playing field
Bottom line:
The earlier you plan, the more you save! We’re ready to help you navigate it all from rebates to design, permits, and final installation.
