About the event
Rehoboth Christian School, a local faith-based Christian school, is proud to announce the successful installation and commissioning of a 68KW roof-mounted solar power system at their school in Rehoboth, NM. The solar system was installed by OE Solar, a local renewable energy EPC based in Albuquerque, NM, which has been providing clean energy solutions for over 16 years. The system was fully commissioned on September 12, 2024, and is estimated to reduce the middle school’s current electric usage by 79%, significantly reducing the school’s energy costs while advancing its commitment to sustainability.
The newly installed system is composed of 124 high-efficiency 550W solar modules, strategically mounted to the roof of the school's middle school building. The 68KW system is expected to produce approximately 113,800 kilowatt hours (kWh) of clean, renewable energy annually, contributing to a reduction in carbon footprint and supporting the school’s environmental goals.
