Multifamily

Get a $5,000 rebate for installing a Level 2 charger
Income-qualified communities: Receive a rebate up to $10,000 per charger port
Must install eligible chargers with an approved PNM Licensed Contractor

The Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS) is a depreciation plan that allows business owners to recover depreciation costs on their solar investments through tax deductions. The second Federal commercial solar incentive is the Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS).

Note: The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 increased bonus depreciation to 100% for qualified property acquired and placed in service after September 27, 2017 and before January 1, 2023. Bonus depreciation has stepped down by 20% each year beginning with 80% in 2023.

New Mexico's Clean Car Tax Credit was established in 2024 to incentivize the purchase of EVs and their infrastructure.

Installing a qualified Level 1 or Level 2 charger at your home or business makes you eligible for an additional $400 tax credit. These credits are also refundable, so you’ll get the funds even if you have no tax liability for the year.

An EV purchase or lease must be through a motor vehicle dealer licensed by the New Mexico motor vehicle division, or a dealer located on tribal land within New Mexico. Additionally, for those leasing their EV, the lessee must have entered into a new lease for at least three years.

PNM Electric Vehicle Program

OE Solar & PNM have teamed up and are working together to help you save time, energy & money by participating in the PNM Transportation Electrification Program. The PNM (TEP) program offers rebates and resources that make it simple to install EV supply equipment (EVSE) at your home or commercial location in New Mexico.
